Our Newest Addition

finally a car big enough to hold us and all of our stuff! We are in love.

Madilyn loves all the cup holders for her multiple drinks.

and all the room to walk around in the car. She can also climb out of her carseat all by herself now. She is pretty proud of this.

No more cramped legs! She can stretch out and she is not kicking the back of the seat anymore...she can't reach it!

can't wait for our upcoming road trip to Lake Tahoe. We are pretty excited :)

Gearing up for *SUMMER*

Pop Larry's b-day kicked off summer for us! We got Grandpa Larry a hammock and beer for his 61st birthday. We are hoping that this gives him a great place to relax and enjoy his few and far between days off this summer.
(just a side note...he was only in the hammock for a few minutes when he noticed yard work that he needed to do and was immediately out working in the yard...he is the hardest worked that I know!)

yeah baby! Nothing says summer like a hammock and a beer :)

Cowen loved the hammock! Can't wait until we get the hammocks up in our backyard! I want to grab a good book and swing the day away.

I have a feeling we will spend a lot of time in the wagon this year! We had a really rainy, dreary May so we took full advantage of the sun when we saw it. Madilyn loves pulling her brother in the wagon. Cowen especially loves riding in the wagon when his sister is in charge because he is guaranteed a fast and wild ride!!!

A pic of MIL and I taken by Madilyn. She does so well for a 2-year-old in my opinion.

Great smile MIL!!!

How cute is this face?

Uncle Brian is back in Utah and is going to be here for the next while. It will be great to have him around this summer. The kiddos have loved having him around. It is so fun to be able to spend so much time with him and to have the kids get to know him. I wish all of our family lived close to us.

This little man is obsessed with watching the wheels on the wagon as he is riding along...he also likes to put his finger on it as it goes around. It scares me!! He is determined to find out how it works. I hope he makes it through the summer with all his fingers.

Madilyn is becoming quite the hostess. Cheese and crackers anyone? Love summer BBQs with the fam.

Cowen inhaled most of the cheese and crackers :)

G & P Cocanour got this awesome sandbox for their backyard. This kids LOVED it and it kept them busy for a long long time that evening. I can't wait until our backyard is done and we get our sandbox in!

So excited for summer. Next up- we are leaving for Lake Tahoe on Sunday! Can't wait to catch up with family and friends. Madilyn can't wait to play in the sand and see her cousin Robert.

The JOY of Eating

Doesn't this look yummy? We are loving all the great "mom and pop" eateries up here in the Ogden area. Paul and I are focusing on supporting local places and eating cleaner these days. We are also really enjoying cooking at home a lot more. We are getting excited for Farmer's Market season.

We are struggling to get this one to eat most of the time. Some days she has no interest in food at all and other days she eats a lot...I hear that this is pretty typical of toddlers. One thing she will always eat (unless she finds a seed) is watermelon. She also loves Odwalla Superfood (otherwise known as "green juice" in our family) and of course popsicles. Everything else is hit or miss depending on the day.

This little guy is finally loving food. Turns out, he just didn't like purees at all, but like
"real" food.
He loves toast with cream cheese, oatmeal (the real thing, not baby oatmeal), and his favorite thing is yogurt. He also loves cheese and cauliflower, chicken, potatoes, and peas. He seems to like most things that we give him now, as long as it is something we are eating too. No baby food please :)

It has been awhile.....

Wow! I can't believe how long it has been since my last post.

Time has been flying by as usual.

Jaime and I had so much fun in Las Vegas! We had such a fun time shopping, eating amazing mexican food, going to our favorite coffee place- The Coffeebean and Tea Leaf), looking at houses, trying on clothes, seeing Kenny Chesney at the Hard Rock Hotel, staying up late, and laughing our asses off :)

Although, I missed this face

and this face too. Paul did amazing with the kids and the kiddos did well too. I feel great that I can leave for a couple of days and not worry at all.
It was just what I needed.
Thanks babe for giving me the perfect gift :) Hopefully, this can become an annual thing!
