Well, almost....here are a few more shots of us exploring the streets of Cannon Beach as well. We got Madilyn a kite at this adorable kite shop. Flying a kite is one of those things that I really don't understand....I don't see how it is really that fun (I mean holding a sting while it just floats in the air....hmmm baffling), but it WAS fun to see this little lady's excitement at picking it out and flying it on the beach ;)
It was also fun to see her walking down the street with a "hiking stick" that was just her size that she picked up/out herself.
and watching these 2 monkeys together. Cowen LOVES for Paul to carry him this way. He loves to snuggle with Paul's hair and head (and apparently gauge his eyes out as well :) haha
Now on the the day in Seaside! We spent the morning at the small, quaint, but very fun aquarium. We got to touch hermit crabs, sea stars, and much more.
but the highlight was feeding the seals! Madilyn and I loved this. There was one seal that would slap her side with her flipper to get your attention so that you would throw a fish her way. She was too cute! Paul told Madilyn that she should try that at preschool when she wants more snack....I wonder when we will get a call from her preschool asking if Madilyn is okay? haha...Madilyn is still talking about this seal and Cowen is doing patting his side/tummy when he wants more of something he is eating.
and then more beach time. I loved putting my feet in this sand...seriously the softest sand ever! Happiness!
I was floored when the little lady wanted to sit on the bench...what???? She always loves to ride on the animals...I was baffled. Later, she told us that since there wasn't a ladybug, that she had to sit on the bench instead. Ahh, now I see.
and the little man LOVED it this time. The first time he rode a carousel at our local zoo, he was a little uncertain, but now he loves it. It is not the best pic, but I was trying to hold him on and take the pic at the same time (safety first my friends, safety first :) Back to the beach we go........
