{PUMPKIN} patch 10/9/2010

I have been dreaming of a place/farm like this and had no idea that one existed so close to home. Paul's friend Nate called us one Saturday morning and invited us to go the this pumpkin patch with him and his wife and their 2 boys. We are so glad that he did!
Madilyn loved these great swings shaped like horses.

and we all loved the slides

Cowen loved the tunnels he could crawl through

and Madilyn loved this train. Paul and I squeezed ourselves on this train too so that we could go with the kids. We both felt like we would never be able to get out of it! Haha...it was hilarious, but the kiddos really enjoyed it so it was worth feeling like a sardine for a few minutes :)

the kiddos loved the little band stand. Madilyn has been asking to play the drums for so long. She was thrilled to find this pink drumset!

We stopped for a little rest and enjoyed some italian ice. Blueberry for Mad and lemon for Cowen.

Then it was time for the pig races. We were all pretty excited about it.

Madilyn was cheering on her choice....(the green one) and he won! She was pretty excited. It was cute to hear her and Nate's son chatting about which pig was going to win.

After the pig races, it was off to the hayride to pick out our pumpkins. Madilyn really took to Nate's mom right away and wanted to hold her hand on the way to the hayride. It was adorable :)

Madilyn decided that she wanted a little pumpkin, but they were hard to come by. It was so hard to pick one, as there were so many and they were all so great. We ended up with 3 pretty big pumpkins.

On the way back, Cowen decided that he wanted to sit with Nate. It was pretty cute.

Before we left for the evening, we wanted to go and see the animals. How funny is this goat feeding contraption? We got some food for Madilyn to send up to the silly goats waiting up on the platform.

she had fun sending the food up and watching the goats stretch and wait for it to get to them.
the we fed some llamas

went down a few more slides and then called it a day.

we are pretty excited, as we are going back to this same farm this week with Madilyn's preschool class.
