Madilyn turns 2!
and we celebrated with a monkey/curious george theme....

we got a bouncy house that was safari themed and Madilyn (and Aunt Jaime) had a ball bouncing in it most of the afternoon....when we could peel Madilyn off her new bike that is.

I thought that I would include this pic of our house taken from the park across the street for those of you requesting to see what our new house looks like.
here is the birthday girl relaxing with a root beer (her favorite treat drink).
and here is her new prize possession....her new Schwinn tricycle complete with streamers and a bell...look out!
she wakes up every morning asking to "ride bike"....she would live on this thing if we let her :)
whole view of the bouncy house.
party and presents time. We all had a great time celebrating Madilyn's life!
enjoying a few suckers...only on your bday can you enjoy 4 suckers at once...this girl was in heaven!
blowing out her candle
and enjoying her cake!
Cowen is almost ONE month old already!

We survived our first week as a family of { FOUR}
holding Cowen for the first time...I think their faces say it all. Madilyn's is so full of love and admiration for her new brother...Cowen's looks a little unsure of the whole experience. Madilyn is a very good big sister...she loves kissing her brother on the head...or as she calls it- his fluffy/fuzzy.

Adjusting
We can't believe that Cowen has been with us for almost a week now! Crazy how time flies. We are adjusting from being a family of 3 to a family of 4. Madilyn is doing so great adjusting for the most part. She has been getting extra attention from her dad, as he has had time off work. She is really interested in her brother and wants him to go everywhere with her. She likes to dance for him. Cowen is doing really well. We have only had one "bad" night where he wanted to eat every hour or so....but now he seems to be going 2-3 hours at night. I can do that a lot better than every hour. We are all doing really well and are enjoying our new family.
