A post dedicated to Auntie Anne

Dear Auntie Anne,

I just want you to know that I love zucchini now. I have learned to love it since being married. We put it in omelets, stir fry, and most recently this ravioli zucchini casserole.
We can't wait to see you when you visit this summer after baby boy is born.

Love,
your nephew Paul

Daddy

Madilyn is definitely a daddy's girl. I love seeing them together and how much they adore each other.

Mad's favorite time of the day is when daddy gets home. She loves to drive the car into the garage with him.

Every evening possible (cold or not) we head to the park. Paul gets dizzy pushing Madilyn on the swing, but he never complains and always lets her swing for a long time. Madilyn just loves it so much :)

She would follow her daddy anywhere. We love you Paul!! You are the best daddy in the world.

Finally Summer?

It seems like we have spent most of May and June bundled up like this. I have to say that I am not complaining because I am miserable in 90 degree weather...especially when I am pregnant, but it has not felt like summer at all.

PS..Madilyn would spend all day in a swing if she could.

Finally got to tour the Tillamook Cheese Factory...also on my "to-do" list!

watching cheese being made/packaged.
eating our yummy grilled cheese sandwiches at the cafe...
and enjoying an ice cream cone for dessert.

We loved being on the coast of OR!

Madilyn couldn't wait to get close to the water...
and play in all the sand.

I also got to fulfill one of my dreams...to drive my Jeep on the beach. It was just as cool and fun as I had always imagined it would be. It feels like you are floating...so much fun!!!
neat restaurant right on the sand of the beach. This was my favorite city that we drove through..Pacific City. Such a cute place. Lot's of surfers, soft sand, and cute beach shacks...I wish we had more time to visit and explore this place.
We loved all the neat bridges. I always have to get pictures of the bridges...they fascinate me.

ROGUE Brewery OR{egon}

Paul couldn't wait to eat at a brew pub in Oregon. We decided on Rogue Brewery right on the water with amazing views of the ocean/bay.

view out the window as we were eating.
Such a cute place..too bad the food wasn't very good and the beer wasn't Paul's favorite either :( but we had a great time anyway.

OR{egon} Part II....The Aquarium

I am a little late in posting these pics, but there are so many that I loved, that I just had to document it on the blog and share. Madilyn LOVED the aquarium in Newport, Oregon. She loves water and fish and had a great time running through all the different exhibits.
Here is my favorite- the sea otters. I could watch these cuties swim all day long. Madilyn loved watching them too.

Here she is showing us the jelly fish. She was fascinated by them and so were we.

This was a glass floor with a fish exhibit and sharks all around. Mad was a little leary of it at first, but then got up the courage to walk on it. A lady scolded me for letting her do it...she thought that I was teaching her that she could walk on water....hmmm. Somehow, I think we will be okay.

Madilyn wanted to touch everything that she saw, so she was thrilled when we got to the touch pool and she actually got to touch! I loved this part too.

My Life ;)

I came across this picture and realized that this will be my life very, very soon :)

I am in total "nesting" mode right now and can't seem to get enough done. I am loving the motivation though. Almost have our whole new house planned out. I am in heaven planning all the decor :) Can't wait!!!

Only 50 more days to go?

I just can't believe that there is only 50 more days to go (give or take) until we meet our little guy. This pregnancy has gone by so fast and I am getting so excited for his arrival. This pregnancy has been a lot different than Madilyn's. My blood pressure has been normal, my hips hurt a lot more when I am sleeping, and I am a lot bigger than I was with Madilyn.

We have had so much going on lately which has been really exciting. We bought a house up closer to Hill Air Force Base and we can't wait to move in here in about a week from now. So close to having the baby, but we hope to be somewhat settled before he makes his grand appearance. Paul can't wait to only have a 15 minute commute each way compared to an hour and 15 minutes each way. We can't wait to have that extra 2 hours with him every day.

Paul was offered a job in the Bay area of California at the same time that he received a promotion at his current job. We have been wanting to move out of state for quite some time, but the timing just wasn't good for us, so we chose to stay here in Utah for now. Paul works his butt off for us and is amazing at it! It is great to have opportunities and choices in this economy. We are truly blessed.

I have been packing like crazy lately and trying to plan out how to decorate our new place..that is absolute heaven for me, as I LOVE this kind of stuff. Paul has been volunteering his time to video recording interviews with the few WWII vets that are still alive here in Utah. He is really enjoying using his videography skills again.

Madilyn is getting really excited for "brother bubba" as she calls him. She talks to my belly and kisses it. She loves going to all my Dr. appts with me and claps with excitement when we pull into the hospital. It is too cute. She is talking like crazy and is starting to say sentences and put words together. We are working on learning colors, numbers, and the alphabet. She is in love with Curious George and loves watching the cartoon on TV. She also loves playing in the dirt and coloring. She is growing so fast!! I can't believe what an amazing little girl she has become. She makes Paul and I so happy.

We can't wait to post pictures of our new place, and our new baby and our summer adventures. Stay tuned.

Photos from *LEE SEE's* stay in Utah

At the Mayan.
Blowing bubbles. I am amazed at how good Madilyn can blow bubbles already.
I love the look on her face! We were watching the divers at the Mayan and Madilyn loved it. She would cheer and clap for them once she got over the initial surprise of it all.
Madilyn and Lisa
Grandma Joan's cousin Lisa was in town from Australia and Madilyn became so attached to her!! She is still talking about LEE SEE (as Madilyn calls her). It was too cute. These are pictures from Lisa's camera.
Watching the divers.
