Our week in REVIEW

Trick-or-treating with my little lady bug and mini pea pod.

Cowen LOVED his pea pod costume...he giggled as I put it on him and got really comfy in it and passed out as we were walking along :)

Aunt Jaime and Uncle Joe came trick-or-treating with us!

Madilyn LOVED trick-or-treating!
She was so polite and so grown up about it...brought tears to my eyes. We had so much fun!

Here she is checking out her loot.

such an amazing fall day for Halloween.

This face says it all! Can you believe people are just handing out candy? And I get to wear this awesome lady bug costume that I have been talking about for weeks. What could be better?

First house....
It was a wonderful week and weekend, as we had a lot of family in town. Here is Madilyn with her cousin Robert. She followed him around all weekend, holding his hand and talking to him...he was such a good sport and so patient with her.

Madilyn loved playing in the leaves with her Auntie Jeannine

trick-or-treat

she didn't like the hood on her costume, so she ended up not wearing it. It was like pulling teeth to get her to wear it for the pictures!

We had such beautiful weather on Halloween day. We spent the day at Paul's parents house with his sister Jeannine and her husband Brad and our nephew Robert from Reno, NV. Also, Paul's brother Brian was here from Phoenix, AZ. It was so fun to have them here.

We carved pumpkins, ate pizza, and enjoyed each other's company. Then had a Halloween Party that evening with our tradition of chili and cornbread. We added pumpkin pie (in memory of Paul's grandma) and had a Texas sheet cake...yum yum.

Madilyn was pretty grossed out by the inside of the pumpkin! She kept gagging and making a funny face. This was surprising, as she usually loves gross stuff!

Her cousin Robert, Uncle Brad, and Uncle Brian talked her into touching the seeds.

Jeannine grew this pumpkin in her garden! It was huge and perfect :)

Cowen and his beautiful Auntie Jeannine

The week before Halloween, my Grandma Sims and Aunt Sue were here from Ohio to meet Cowen. We took a few 4 generation pics thanks to my thoughtful husband :) Thanks babe.

Madilyn was a little tired and not so into the whole thing, but I think they turned out perfect anyway. My Grandma is 89...doesn't look like it does she? She is amazing and beautiful.

Madilyn is a little too much like me when I was a little girl. I was always making silly faces and pulling silly poses for pictures...I still hate "posed" shots....

My dad with his mom and sister Sue.

Hmmm...it is a mystery where I get my sillyness in pictures...

What a wonderful week we had! We are so fortunate to have such amazing families. Can't wait to see you all again soon.
