Thankful

Look at that feast! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at Paul's parents house!! We had a wonderful time feasting and being together. We love that both our parents get together on the holidays for one big meal, instead of having to travel between both houses. My sister Jessica and her boyfriend came over for appetizers and drinks before they had to go to Alex's parents house for dinner. We really missed my sister Jaime and her fiance Joe!!!
Proud Grandpa's after they received the news that they are getting a new grand baby this summer!
We are so thankful for our amazing families and friends and for the amazing things that we have shared in our lives!

Madilyn's Announcement

We are so excited and can't wait to meet our second baby!!!!!!

Beautiful Fall Day

Perfect Fall day! Tons of leaves to stomp, a ride in the wagon, picking the last good apple, and just being free to run around outside. Fall, we are going to miss you!

Bundled Up

Madilyn is in love with being outside, no matter how cold or what the weather is like. She goes to the door (like a puppy) and asks to go out. The other night was so cold, but that didn't stop her! We bundled her up and she waddled around for about 15 minutes. It was hilarious.
I don't know what we are going to do when we have 5 feet of snow on the ground and she still wants to be outside!!

Disneyland!

Madilyn experienced her first trip to Disneyland this year. We all had such an amazing time. We stayed at the Paradise Pier hotel in Disnyland. This is Madilyn in the lobby with Goofy. The hotel is California/beach themed.
I love this picture! It totally shows how amazed she was for most of the trip :) There was so much to take in!
Madilyn loved all the fountains and water features. She loves the water so much and wants to swim in anything and everything she can. I kept having to keep her from trying to climb in this fountain in Downtown Disney :)
Aerial view of the pool at our hotel. The pool is much bigger, but I couldn't get the whole shot at once. The first day we were there, we took Madilyn to the pool. It is so nice at the Disney hotels because they have life jackets at the pool for kids. Madilyn loved the pool!
All my shots of Madilyn after swimming were blurry :( This was the best shot of her in her swimsuit! I forgot to take my camera down to the pool to get shots of her swimming, so I had to capture her in her suit and little sandals.
Our hotel had a movie room for kids with little Adirondack chairs. It was too cute and Madilyn loved that all the chairs were her size. She had a ball climbing in and out of them and running from one to the next.
Here she is "zoned in" to the movie that was playing. This lasted about 2 seconds :)
We kept Madilyn on a little monkey leash so that we could let her walk around. We saw so many kids with these while we were there. It is the best way to let her walk around without worrying like crazy that she is going to run off and get lost. She loved having the cute monkey riding around with her too.
Our amazing friends Mike and Tammy and their kids Vanessa and Shan met us at Disney and spent a day with us there. We had such a great time with them. Madilyn adores Vanessa and they had a great time together.
Madilyn LOVES the carousel and was trying to kiss it :)
We loved Mike and Tammy's double stroller! Vanessa is 4 and 1/2 and never wants to be in the stroller, so it was wonderful to only have to take one stroller and have Madilyn and Shan ride together. Shan kept kicking the back of Madilyn, but for the most part they were awesome stroller buddies. It gave us a little taste of what having 2 kids is going to be like :)

Mike and Paul took the kids on the Jungle Cruise, while I took Tammy on Indiana Jones! It was her first time riding it and she was hooked. We had so much fun! It is my favorite ride and we got lucky and got to ride it twice that day. Tammy, I had so much fun that day with you!

Madilyn loved all the interactive places and rides.

The Haunted Mansion was her favorite ride! We rode it 3 or 4 times.
This is the new Toy Story ride. We had so much fun on this ride. I loved how Madilyn could ride almost everything (except the roller coasters) and she wasn't scared.
She loved the Bugs Land a lot. It is definitely for toddlers. Paul and I love it too. It was fun to go on the rides that we had never gone on before (all the little kid rides). It was a whole new way of experiencing Disneyland, and seeing it through Madilyn's eyes made it magical.

She loved the water fountains that were made for kids to play in. She got soaked, but loved every minute of it.

It was so fun to see Disneyland decorated for Halloween and then by the last day that we were there, it had transformed to Christmas. We got the best of both worlds. We can't wait to go again when Madilyn is 4 or so. We miss California already!
